Class Notes

E-safety is basically being safe on the internet, not giving out personell details, cyberbullying ect.
 This is what we were taught over the last two days..

Protecting ourselves
  • cyber bullying -horrible emails from class mates or other people, facebook status reposted.
  • phishing - illigitemt emails from businesses asking for personell details

Childrens drama

Research as much as you can before you start writing so you get the feel of the style in
wich childrens dramas are writen and filmed.

Codes and conventions
Codes = things you expect to see
Conventions = things you expect to happen

Narrative
Defined as "a chain of events in a cause-effect relationship occuring in time"
- Bordwell & Thompson Film art 1980

Diegesis - The world created for a story (the starwars world, the lord of the rings world)

Verisimilitude - Believability within the diegesis

Story - All the events referenced in the narrative, plot and backstory)

plot - the events directly incorporated into the action of the text

Narrative range
Unrestricted narration - a narration which has no limits to the imformation that is presented
(i.e a news bulliten)

Restricted narration - only offers minimal informationregarding the narrative (i.e thrillers, most films)
